Voters will decide primary races for federal, State and county offices in the Tuesday, Aug. 6, 2024 election. There will also be millage proposals on the ballot for recreation, school operations, and public safety.
The early voting site for City of Jackson residents will be located on the 2nd Floor of City Hall, 161 W. Michigan Ave., Saturday, July 27 through Sunday, Aug. 4, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Early voting follows the same procedures as voting at a polling place on Election Day. In-person voting on Election Day at polling places is not impacted. Polling places will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 6.
Completed absentee ballots must be submitted to the City Clerk’s Office by 8 p.m. on Election Day to be counted in the election. Secure absentee ballot drop boxes are available for voters to submit completed ballots at their convenience. The drop boxes are located outside the front entrance of City Hall and in the parking lot of Nixon Park, 400 E. North St.
