City of Jackson residents have three upcoming opportunities to give feedback on the future of the City’s parks system. The City of Jackson Parks and Recreation Commission is holding three community meetings in Nov. to collect resident input for a new Parks and Recreation Master Plan.
The Parks and Recreation Master Plan is revised every five years and is used as a guide for planning future park, trail and program improvements. The meetings are being held at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 1, Wednesday, Nov. 15 and Wednesday, Nov. 29 at the Ella Sharp Park Golf Course Club House.
Residents are welcome to attend the meetings to give feedback on Jackson parks, trails and recreation programs, along with what improvements they’d like to see in the coming years. Input from residents will be included in the new Parks and Recreation Master Plan. City staff expects to finalize the Master Plan in the coming months and present it to the City Council for consideration in Jan. 2024.
The Ella Sharp Park Golf Course is located at 2800 Fourth St. All Jackson residents are welcome to attend.
