About the Commission 

The Parks and Recreation Commission oversees Parks, Recreation and the Recreation Millage through programs, maintenance and approved events.

Parks and Recreation Master Plan 

The  2020-24 Parks and Recreation Master Plan is available for public review on the City's website. It is separated into two parts, volume one and volume two. 

Meetings and Agendas

Meetings of the Parks and Recreation Commission are generally organized quarterly at 4:00 p.m.  Meetings are held at the same time as the Ella W. Sharp Park Board in the Ella Sharp Park Golf Course Clubhouse at 2800 Fourth St. Jackson, MI 49203. The following is a list of proposed meetings for 2023:

• Wednesday, August 16, 2023
• Wednesday, November 15, 2023
