The Howard Woods Recreation Complex is the home of the Martin Luther King Jr. Recreation Center and much more! The following is a list of what's included in the recreation complex: 

• Martin Luther King Jr. Recreation Center
• Playground
• Pavilion
• Basketball courts
• Two ballfields for softball and baseball 
• Access to the MLK Equality Trail
• Community garden 

The complex is named after Howard Woods, a Jackson resident who was a coach, playground director, and umpire with the Recreation Department for more than 35 years.
