[ARCHIVED] Section of Wildwood Avenue closing for sewer repair on Tuesday, Aug. 30

road closed sign

The City of Jackson is advising drivers to prepare for a lane closure on a busy street. On Tuesday, Aug. 30, the eastbound lane of Wildwood Avenue between N. Brown and N. Wisner streets will be closed so crews from the Department of Public Works can complete an urgent sewer repair at a residence.

The westbound lane of Wildwood Avenue will remain open through the construction, which is expected to last through the afternoon of Wednesday, Aug. 31. Wildwood Avenue is a busy street that connects drivers to neighborhoods and business districts on Jackson's west side. Drivers should prepare to seek alternate routes in this area to alleviate traffic congestion created by the closure.
