[ARCHIVED] 2022 State of the City Address happening Wednesday, March 16

Mayor Daniel Mahoney

An annual event that reflects on Jackson’s progress and looks toward the future is returning this year. Mayor Daniel Mahoney will deliver his first State of the City Address on Wednesday, March 16. The event starts at 6:30 p.m. and is happening at the Boos Recreation Center

This will be the 5th Annual State of the City event in Jackson. Last year’s address was recorded from the Mayor’s Office and posted on social media due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Mayor Derek Dobies started the tradition, holding the first address in 2018. Mayor Mahoney was sworn-in as Mayor on Dec. 1, 2021. This will be his first State of the City Address since taking office.

The State of the City Address is free to attend and open to the public. A recording of the event will be posted on the City’s website and social media platforms following the address. The Boos Recreation Center is located at 210 Gilbert St. in Jackson.
