Jackson residents are invited to apply to serve on the Jackson Brownfield Redevelopment Authority (JBRA).
The JBRA oversees the use of tax increment financing on select properties, such as former industrial and commercial sites, that need special attention to be redeveloped. Taxes from these properties are captured to fund redevelopment.
The authority also implements redevelopment plans for project areas.
Interested residents may apply for the volunteer position by completing an application on the City website.
Qualified applicants will be reviewed by City staff and forwarded to the Mayor's Office for a possible appointment.
