[ARCHIVED] 2025 State of the City Address happening Wednesday, March 19

2024 State of the City Address

An annual event that celebrates the community’s progress over the past year and looks toward the future is returning to Jackson. The City of Jackson is planning the 2025 Mayor's State of the City Address for Wednesday, March 19. The event starts at 6 p.m. and is taking place at the City Center in Downtown Jackson.

The event will be Mayor Daniel Mahoney’s fourth State of the City Address. Launched in 2018, the annual event is a time for the community to reflect the City’s accomplishments and set priorities for the next year. This will also be an opportunity for residents to tour the City Center and see construction progress. The former Masonic Temple facility at 145 W. Cortland St. is being converted into a downtown community center with an incubator kitchen and food service training center. The City started construction on the historic property in March 2024, using $3.1 million in American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds for the revitalization. The construction project will wrap up later this spring.

The State of the City Address is free to attend and open to residents and local media. A recording will be available on the City’s YouTube page and website following the event.
