Reed Manor Resident Check-In
Reed Manor management and the American Red Cross are working in tandem to reconnect with displaced residents from the Reed Manor fire. Some residents may not have had updated contact information on file, or may have left their phones or personal items behind during the fire. regardless if you have housing and support through this transition period, please check-in with Reed Manor and the Red Cross to ensure that your name is registered with the Reed Manor fire case number so that you can get connected with recovery resources, insurance support, and assistance going forward.

Displaced Reed Manor residents are encouraged to connect with staff at Reed Manor or the Red Cross shelter at St. John’s UCC on Mechanic Street. This helps ensure residents are connected with available resources and support services as needs continue to emerge.

Residents who receive SNAP food assistance and lost groceries in the Reed Manor fire may qualify for replacement benefits through the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS).
DHHS staff will be available on March 20, from 9 AM to 3 PM at the Red Cross shelter at St. John’s UCC (801 S. Mechanic St.) to assist residents with replacement food benefits, Bridge Cards, applications, and other emergency assistance.
