Tim Gonzales is Jackson's Fire Chief! With the separation of Jackson's police and fire departments earlier this year, Gonzales ascended to the role of Fire Chief from Deputy Fire Chief. He's a Jackson native who has been with the Jackson Fire Department for 17 years, serving as a Firefighter, Fire Motor Driver, and Assistant Director of Operations.
Chief Gonzales has been leading Jackson's fire crews since 2023 following the retirement of former Deputy Fire Chief David Wooden. The City has not had a Fire Chief position since 2010, when the police and fire departments were combined under Police and Fire Services.
The City of Jackson thanks Chief Gonzales for his continued service to the community.
