With a heat wave hitting Jackson this week, residents will be looking for places to cool down. Here are two options if you're looking to keep cool.
The MLK Recreation Center, 1107 Adrian St., is always open for residents to warm up or cool down during regular operating hours. The center is open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Friday.
The Nixon Water Park, 400 E. North St., is open for the summer starting Monday, June 17! The pool is open 11 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. ($5 per person) and 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. ($4 per person).
Recreation program update for Tuesday, June 18: All scheduled recreation programs will proceed as planned. Please rest and hydrate before joining our activities.
The Walk, Roll and Stroll Jackson event planned for today is being moved to Tuesday, June 25 due to the high temperatures. That event will take place at 6 p.m. at the Cascades Park pavilion.
