Opening in 2021, the Ella Sharp Park Trail is Jackson's newest pedestrian trail! Since it's a route for local kids to reach Middle School at Parkside and Sharp Park Academy, the trail was constructed using a Safe Routes to School grant in collaboration with Jackson Public Schools. 

The 1 mile long trail connects the MLK Equality Trail and south side neighborhoods to Ella Sharp Park, running along S. Jackson Street and Elmdale Drive. The paved trail features beautiful views of the park on a pedestrian bridge. A video tour of the trail is available on this page.
