Optimist Park is a flash of green in the busy N. West Avenue commercial corridor. This park is going to be reshaped in the coming years due to an adjacent commercial development, and will feature a new playground, basketball court and landscaping. Optimist Park is reached by using Lincoln Street off W. North Street. 

The park is named after the Optimist service club of Jackson.
