Facilities

Loomis Park is a large park on Jackson's east side that is a popular community gathering space. The park features the following: 

• Playground
• Pavilion 
• Walking path
• Basketball court
• Sledding hill 
• Open green space
• Boos Recreation Center 

The park is named after former Mayor Peter Loomis, who donated property in 1901 for the City of Jackson to use as a public park.
