Residential & Commercial Billing
The City of Jackson Water Department bills both residential and commercial accounts for use of the city water system. Residential customers are billed quarterly, while commercial accounts are billed on a monthly basis. This usage is measured by meters placed at each account’s individual location. Payment must be received by the 6th of each month to assure that water service will continue uninterrupted, as shut-off procedures always begin on the 7th of each month. The Water Department now offers the option of receiving your water / sewer service electronically. If you’d like to receive your bill by email, please contact the Water Department at 517-788-4082. Please include your name, address, and email address when writing to us.
Online Bill Payments
To pay your water/sewer online, visit the BS&A software portal. With BS&A, you can view and pay your current bill, search through past bills, and find information on different accounts based on address, account number, parcel number, or name. If your water service is in danger of being shut off, do not use the online payment system. Call 517-788-4082 immediately for specific instructions. If you have an after hours emergency, please call 517-788-4100.

Help Available for Paying Bills
The Water Department has seen an increase in customers falling behind on paying water bills since the COVID-19 pandemic began. If you're experiencing a financial hardship due to COVID-19 crisis, and need financial assistance to pay for water bills, help is available. While the City is not currently doing water shutoffs, you are still being billed for water usage. Getting financial assistance now can help you avoid a larger balance or possible service disruption in the future.
