Membership and Staffing

The Zoning Board of Appeals (ZBA) is comprised of seven members and up to two alternate members. The Michigan Zoning Enabling Act requires one member of the ZBA to also serve on the City Planning Commission. The remaining members are appointed from among the citizenry of the City by the Mayor with the consent of the City Council.
