Purchasing Policies

The Purchasing Department has a number of policies in place to regulate the bidding and procurement process. These policies are:

• The Purchasing Department head in charge of public works construction projects can require bidders to become qualified prior to bidding at his or her discretion.
• When required, bidders shall demonstrate their ability to successfully complete the proposed work.
• If a prequalification application is submitted less than 10 days before the date of a bid’s opening, the Purchasing Department is not required to place it into consideration.
