Activity for September 30, 2011 through October 2, 2011

Friday, September 30, 2011:

Officers made 4 arrests, conducted 20 traffic stops, and were dispatched to 70 calls for service.

Officer Smith and Sergeant Mazur conducted extra patrol around Wilson Academy due to recent fights in the area.

Officers were dispatched to the Jackson Crossing where the suspect's vehicle was struck by the victim's vehicle in the parking lot.  The suspect was approached by an off-duty officer who identified himself as such, and the suspect struck the officer before leaving the area.  Officer Karle located the suspect vehicle and arrested the suspect for Resisting and Obstructing and Assaulting an Officer.

Officers were originally dispatched to a residence in the 1400 block of S. Milwaukee for another type of call, but instead found two dogs which were not being taken care of, and one that had died.  Officers then assisted Animal Control in removing the dogs and contacted CPS due to several small children living in the residence.

Officer Stanton was dispatched to the 500 block of Blair Park for shots fired.  The complainant stated he heard one shot fired and then saw a male subject run past him with a gun.  The area was checked, and no victim was located, nor was anything to substantiate that shots were fired.

Officer Lillie was dispatched to the area of the Office Bar for a fight.  Upon his arrival, no one was fighting, but one subject was disorderly.  That subject was arrested for disorderly conduct.

Officer Lillie was dispatched to the 100 block of W. Biddle where he found an intoxicated subject half-in and half-out of a running vehicle.  The subject was arrested for OWI.

Saturday, October 1, 2011:

Officers made 4 arrests, conducted 18 traffic stops, and were dispatched to 67 calls for service.

Officer Gross was dispatched to a residence in the 1400 block of S. Jackson for an unknown subject on an enclosed front porch.  Upon arrival, Gross found the man acting bizarre and not wearing any shoes.  The subject was taken to a local hospital after claiming to have overdosed on pills and feeling suicidal.

Officer Stanton arrested a subject for OWI; PBT=0.11.

Sunday, October 2, 2011:

Officers made 2 arrests, conducted 2 traffic stops, and were dispatched to 45 calls for service.

Officers were dispatched to the Admiral Station on Prospect St. for an armed robbery.  The suspect entered the store, threatened the clerk with a handgun, took cash and a cell phone, and fled the area.  The clerk was not harmed.

Officer Gross arrested a subject on an outstanding warrant.

Officer Costley was dispatched to the 100 block of Ridgeway for a subject who had collapsed, possibly due to an overdose.  Jackson Community Ambulance arrived to administer medical assistance and transport the subject to Allegiance Health.

Officers assisted the Jackson Fire Department with a fire in the 1000 block of Francis St.
