Friday, May 4, 2012:
Officers made 9 arrests, conducted 26 traffic stops, and were dispatched to 91 calls for service.
Officer Noppe took a report of a counterfeit $20 bill at Stop One Party Store.
Officer Albrecht arrested a subject for an outstanding warrant from Blackman Township.
While investigating another incident, Officer Galbreath arrested a subject on an outstanding warrant from Blackman Township.
Officer Morgan took a report of an accident. A bicyclist was traveling eastbound on Michigan Ave. and ran into a vehicle stopped at the stop sign at Michigan and Gilbert. The bicyclist was taken to Allegiance Health for treatment of minor injuries.
Officer Lillie conducted a traffic stop and arrested the driver on an outstanding warrant from the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department.
Officer Tinklepaugh investigated a B&E in the 200 block of Wall St. where the suspect(s) kicked in the back door and stole electronic items.
Officer Galbreath took a B&E report in the 1100 block of S. Webster. The suspect(s) entered the garage and stole tools and lawn equipment.
Officers Galbreath and Lillie were sent to a residence in the 500 block of Third St. While there, one subject was arrested on two outstanding warrants.
Officer Lillie made contact with a subject in the 200 block of W. Wilkins and eventually arrested him on three outstanding warrants.
Officer Tinklepaugh was investigating an incident in the 100 block of W. Wilkins and arrested a subject for violating her conditional bond.
Officer Galbreath made a traffic stop and arrested the driver for three outstanding warrants and OWI, BAC=0.22.
Officers were sent to the 200 block of W. Prospect for several shots fired. Officer checked the area, but could not locate any evidence of the shots fired.
Saturday, May 5, 2012:
Officers made 4 arrests, conducted 61 traffic stops, and were dispatched to 73 calls for service.
Officer Lillie was sent to Burger King on N. West Ave. for an unresponsive subject in a vehicle. Officer Lillie attempted to make contact with the subject, who was sitting in the driver’s seat of the running vehicle. The subject was arrested for OWI, BAC=0.13.
Officer Mills took an armed robbery report in the 1700 block of E. Michigan. Three employees of Hot Rods were standing behind the business when approached by two suspects who asked them for money. The suspects left, but then returned, pulling out a gun and demanding money and cell phones. Several phones and some cash were taken from the victims.
Officers were sent to the 1200 block of Woodsum for shots fired. The area was checked, but nothing was found to substantiate the call.
Officer Morgan conducted a traffic stop and arrested a subject for violating his conditional bond.
Sunday, May 6, 2012:
Officers made 3 arrests, conducted 11 traffic stops, and were dispatched to 73 calls for service.
Officer LaPorte was investigating another incident and arrested a subject on several different warrants.
Officer Galbreath was sent to the 700 block of W. Franklin to investigate an assault. Two family members were arguing, and one was seen with a metal pipe in his hand. One subject was arrested; no injuries were received during the assault.
