10 Arrests, 15 Traffic Stops, 82 Dispatches; Foot/Extra Patrol; B&Es; Warrants; Fights; Shots Fired

Activity for May 2, 2012

Officers made 10 arrests, conducted 15 traffic stops, and were dispatched to 82 calls for service.

Officers conducted extra patrol downtown, at Sharp Park, and at Frost, Cascades, Parkside, and McCulloch schools.

Officer Schuette investigated the B&E of two different garages in the 300 block of Marshall.

Officer Smith arrested a subject on a probation violation.

Officer Hibbard conducted foot patrol in the 200 block of N. Park.

Officer Postma was sent to the 1600 block of Third St. for a possible B&E where a door had been kicked in.  Upon his arrival, Postma located an open door, but nothing appeared to be disturbed.

Officers were sent to the 400 block of W. Biddle for a large fight.  Upon police arrival, all subjects left the area except for a victim whose car had been damaged.

Officers were sent to the 100 block of Mitchell for another large fight.  Once in the area, officers did not locate any type of issue.

Officer Hibbard was sent to the area of Franklin/Second for possible shots fired.  Information obtained was that a subject shot two rounds from a vehicle, possibly at another subject.  No victims came forward, and no injuries were reported, and no damage was located.
