Activity for April 23, 2012

Officers made 6 arrests, conducted 15 traffic stops, and were dispatched to 65 calls for service.

Officers conducted extra patrol at Wilson, McCulloch, and St. Mary's schools.

Officers took two reports of Malicious Destruction of Property to vehicle in the parking lot of Allegiance Health.

Officer Karle arrested a subject for violating parole.

Officers were sent to Josie's Take-Out on S. Jackson St. for an armed robbery in progress.  The investigation showed two suspects entered the store, pointed a handgun at an employee, and stole several items, including cash.  The investigation is ongoing.

Officer Brandt made a traffic stop and arrested the driver on two outstanding Friend of the Court warrants.  The passenger was arrested on an outstanding warrant from Jackson PD.

Officers were sent to the Citgo gas station on S. West Ave. for a B&E in progress.  An employee was in the store prior to opening and heard someone breaking into the back door.  The employee called 911.  The juvenile suspect left the area, but was located a short distance away and taken into custody.
