Thursday, April 21, 2011:
Officers made 6 arrests, conducted 16 traffic stops, and were dispatched to 57 calls for service.
Officers were dispatched to the 100 block of Second St. for an attempted home invasion. Officer Brandt chased two suspects who attempted to run; he was able to apprehend one, and other officers apprehended the second. The two subjects were cited for Resisting and Obstructing.
Officers were dispatched to Potter's Pub for a larceny that had just occurred. The suspect fled in a vehicle, but was stopped near Michigan and Seymour. The driver was arrested for OWI and the stolen property was recovered.
Officer Andrews conducted a traffic stop and arrested the driver on an outstanding warrant out of Lansing.
Officers were dispatched to the B1 Bar for a fight. Upon their arrival, no one was fighting inside the bar.
Friday, April 22, 2011:
Officers made 1 arrest, conducted 18 traffic stops, and were dispatched to 85 calls for service.
Officers conducted extra patrol in and around Jackson High School, the Middle School at Parkside, and Hunt and Bennett Elementary Schools.
Officer Renteria took a larceny report where the victim left her cell phone at the MRI Clinic and the suspect took it. The phone was recovered and returned to its owner.
Officer Schuette was dispatched to the 400 block of W. Washington for a suspicious situation. Upon his arrival, he found an unlocked door and water filling the basement, due to copper being taken from the home.
Officers and Jackson firefighters responded to the 1400 block of E. North St. for a B&E and fire. Residents returned and found their home ransacked and a fire burning on the stove. The fire caused very little damage.
Officer Scarpino conducted foot patrol on E. Michigan Ave.
Saturday, April 23, 2011:
Officers made 11 arrests, conducted 36 traffic stops, and were dispatched to 95 calls for service.
Officers conducted extra patrol downtown, and at Sharp Park and Nixon Park; and conducted foot patrol in the areas of Bloomfield/Fourth and Francis/High.
Officer Goings made an OWI arrest - PBT = 0.14.
Officers Ganzhorn and Marcetic were in the parking lot behind the Rocket nightclub when two females were being disorderly. After being warned several times, the females were arrested for Disorderly Conduct, and MIP Alcohol by Consumption.
Sunday, April 24, 2011:
Officers made 2 arrests, conducted 5 traffic stops, and were dispatched to 67 calls for service.
Officers were dispatched to the 200 block of E. Euclid at approximately 6:00 pm for a shooting. Upon arrival, officers were informed that both victims and suspects had fled the area. Two subjects were identified as involved and interviewed. One suspect was arrested.
