Friday, April 13, 2012:
Officers made 7 arrests, conducted 40 traffic stops, and were dispatched to 86 calls for service.
Officers conducted extra patrol at Jackson High School.
Officers were sent to a residence in the 1200 block of Blackstone for an overdose. The subject stated she had taken several prescription pills. The subject was transported to Allegiance for treatment.
Officers were dispatched to Jackson High School for a student with a knife. The student was suspended and the knife was turned over to Officer Karle.
Officer Burkart was sent to the 400 block of Second St. for a B&E. The suspect(s) had cut a screen and entered through a window. Electronic items were taken.
Officer Burkart arrested a subject on an outstanding warrant in the parking lot of Greenwood Food and Beverage.
Officer Brant made a traffic stop and eventually arrested the driver for R&O after she attempted to drive away from the traffic stop and struggled with Officer Brant.
Officer Brandt was investigating an incident in the 300 block of Steward and arrested an intoxicated subject for disorderly conduct.
Officer Ganzhorn made a traffic stop and both subjects ran from the vehicle. Both juveniles were apprehended by other officers in the area. The vehicle had been stolen from a parking lot in the area.
Officers were sent to the 1800 block of Fourth St. for one shot fired. Nothing was found to substantiate the call.
Officers were sent to Boogie Down on Prospect St. for shots fired. Officers found proof of several shots being fired, as well as damage to two vehicles. No witnesses would cooperate with police.
Officer Brant made a traffic stop and arrested the driver on an outstanding warrant.
Saturday, April 14, 2012:
Officers made 3 arrests, conducted 26 traffic stops, and were dispatched to 90 calls for service.
Officers arrested a subject on 3 outstanding warrants.
Officers Schuette and Edmondson made contact with several subjects in a residence in the 700 block of Bush St. One subject was cited for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Officer Burkart was sent to a residence in the 100 block of W. Franklin for trouble with a subject throwing rocks at the residence. Burkart made contact with the suspect and attempted to arrest him on an outstanding warrant. The suspect initially resisted, but was eventually taken into custody.
Officer Burkart was sent to the area of Griswold and Second for a hit and run accident. Three juveniles exited the vehicle and ran. The vehicle had been reported stolen out of Blackman Township. Two juveniles were located during the investigation.
Sergeant Williams was dispatched to a fight behind the Crazy Cowboy. Several individuals were identified as part of the problem. No major injuries were reported.
Officers Brandt and Goings conducted foot patrol in the area of Harwood and Linwood.
Officer Scarpino conducted foot patrol on E. Michigan Ave.
Officers were sent to Boogie Down for an assault report. The caller also said someone shot at her. Nothing was found to substantiate either claim.
Sunday, April 15, 2012:
Officers made 9 arrests, conducted 16 traffic stops, and were dispatched to 80 calls for service.
Officer Edmondson conducted foot patrol downtown.
Officer Kingston was dispatched to the 400 block of Dewey St. to investigate an incident and arrested a subject on an outstanding warrant.
Officer Schuette was sent to the 700 block of Edgewood for a B&E. Several items were taken from a safe in the residence.
Officer Edmondson met with a subject who had property located by children playing in the area.
Officer Hibbard took a report of items stolen from a safe in a residence in the 700 block of Edgewood.
Officers Goings and Burkart were sent to the area of Louis Glick Hwy. and Jackson St. for a call of shots fired. Nothing was found to substantiate the call.
Officer Burkart made a traffic stop and arrested the driver for possession of cocaine and Driving While License Suspended.
Officer Scarpino was sent to the 100 block of Mitchell St. for a fight. One subject was arrested on an outstanding warrant.
Officer Scarpino took a report of a stolen vehicle. The vehicle was stolen from the parking lot of the Jackson County Medical Care Facility.
Officers Brant and Hibbard were sent to Loomis Park for several subjects being in the park after hours.
Officers Scarpino, Hibbard, and Brandt were sent to the 1000 block of Adrian for a fight. One subject was located who was treated at Allegiance Health.
