The City of Jackson Parks, Recreation and Grounds Department is responsible for the upkeep and improvement of 27 parks located throughout the City limits. You can find a list of all our parks and their amenities here.
We are continually working to better the experience you have at all of our parks. We’ve completed a number of upgrades and renovations, including:
Betsy Butterfield Park – 2000
Ella Sharp Park – 2001
Nixon Park – 2001
Martin Luther King Center – 2003
Future renovation projects, like the beautification of the Grand River with an inter-city trail and possible amphitheater, are always in the works. Stay tuned to this page for additional updates on current and future developments of the Parks in the City of Jackson.
