The Citizens Police Academy (CPA)
allows citizens within Jackson County the opportunity to gain first-hand
knowledge of police operations and procedures. The CPA meets once per
week for ten weeks beginning in September, and finishes in November with
a graduation ceremony.
If you are interested in participating in the CPA, please click on the
link below, fill out the application, and submit it to the Jackson
Police Department.
The Citizens Police Academy is a thirty (30) hour block of
instruction designed to give the public a working knowledge of local law
enforcement personnel and policies. This program is not intended solely
for those looking to start a career in law enforcement, nor does it
qualify participants to work in law enforcement.
