| The Personnel & Labor Relations
Department provides services approximately 350 full-time employees and
approximately 340 retirees. The department assists other City
departments with the recruitment, selection and orientation of new
employees. The Personnel Department is responsible for
representing the City's interests in collective bargaining and with
on-going labor agreement interpretation and administration with four
unions. Personnel staff members administer all benefit programs
for City employees and retirees including: insurance, eligibility
and applications for retirement/pensions, workers compensation, safety,
training and various recognition programs and is the repository of all
associated records.
