The Personnel & Labor Relations
Department serves the men and women who serve the City of Jackson. The
City’s employees help make Jackson a wonderful place to work and live
and it is the responsibility of the Personnel Department to ensure they
have a safe and positive work environment. Toward that end, we ensure
the City is in compliance with Federal and State labor and employment
laws and we also provide employees with training and education programs
to help them work safer and smarter as well as to develop themselves
professionally. The Personnel Department administers employee health
benefits and pension plans as well as administering four separate
Collective Bargaining Agreements that cover the majority of our
employees. It is our goal to provide outstanding service to the City’s
employees so that they can provide outstanding service to our citizens.
