| Jackson Seniors continue
to be a very active group in our community. Seniors were offered monthly
dinners, chair exercise classes, 50 and over Basketball, summer drop in
centers, Walk in the Park, Bingo, card playing, indoor walking just to
mention a few of the activities. The travel program proved very popular
with seniors, offering affordable travel throughout the country. Trips
were made to the Geritol Follies, Lancaster, Pennsylvania and
Shipshewana, just to name a few. A new senior activity offered last fall
was Paint-a-Pumpkin in the Park which drew about 50 seniors. This
program services well over 2,000 senior citizens each year.
BINGO - We have bingo at the Boos
Community Center the first and third Tuesday of each month from 12:30 to
2:30 p.m. COST: $1.25
EXERCISE CLASS - Mondays and
Fridays at the Boos Center and Wednesdays at the King Center from 10:30
to 11:30 a.m.
CARDS - Mondays and Fridays at the
Boos Center and Wednesdays at the King Center from 10:00 to 2:00 p.m.
WATER EXERCISE - Tuesdays and
Thursdays at Parkside Pool from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. Closed during school
breaks. COST: $2
WALKING CLUB - Monday thru Fridays
at the Boos Center at 8:30 a.m. Choose your own walking distance: 1, 2,
3, or 4 miles
50 AND BETTER MENS BASKETBALL - Tuesdays
at Redeemer Lutheran Church from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m.
TRAVEL PROGRAM - A travel program
is provided to Jacksonian's who are 50 and better. For more information
call the Boos Center, 788-4064 on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays or the
King Center, 788-4067 9:30 am and
2:00 pm.
