Any individual or contractor who works in the city
right-of-way needs to obtain a permit from the Department of
Engineering. Permits are available for sewers, sidewalks,
sprinklers, drive approaches, monitoring wells and general. Permit
Applications and Forms can be downloaded below. Since all sidewalk
work is overseen by the Department of Public Works, please contact
that office at 788-4170 for details of the work you plan.
A bond is also required for pavement cuts,
curb work and digging in the street. The contractor must
be prequalified or provide a Maintenance and Guarantee Bond (link to
form which will be provided this week).
For any right-of-way work involving water
services, please contact the Water Department (788-4090).
Industrial users must also contact the Wasterwater Treatment Plant for
authorization (788-4075).
