| Developers, retail entrepreneurs, and
downtown property owners and merchants will find this study full of useful
market information and statistical data. The analysis was conducted by the
research firms of Zimmerman/Volk and Associates and H. Blount Hunter
Retail and Real Estate Research during the summer of 2003. Their findings
include an identified market for additional restaurants, service oriented
retail stores and 59 new downtown housing units each year over the next
five years. The report and appendices provide a basis for these and other
conclusions as well as specific recommendations in a very readable format.
