Economic Development

The Economic Development Division (EDD) of the Community Development Department is focused on creating, bringing, expanding and keeping business in the City of Jackson. The EDD’s primary goal is to promote Jackson as a business-friendly community by preserving and creating jobs, while improving lesser-developed areas of the City and improving the City’s overall tax base. This goal can be met by providing the financial tools needed to support the development and expansion of commercial, mixed-use and industrial businesses.
