About the Program

The Active Aging Program, targeting adults 50 and older, provides year-round opportunities for individuals looking to maintain and enhance their overall health.  Planned programs and activities aim to support and challenge physical, mental and social well-being.

For a $5 annual membership fee, members are offered free guided exercise classes, a self-led indoor/outdoor walking option, various self/group-led gaming possibilities, opportunities to try something new, formal monthly luncheons, and affordable travel events throughout the country. Over 2,000 adults participate in programs yearly!

Walk This Way

Self-led walking encouragement inside the Boos Center - M/W/F - between 9:30a - 10:30a - or outside throughout Loomis Park at your convenience.

Movement Matters

A no-impact dance exercise program to strengthen your heart, increase muscle strength and improve flexibility:  Boos Center – M/W/F - 9:30 am – 10:20 am                   

Sit & Stay Fit

A seated and standing exercise program to strengthen your heart, increase muscle strength and improve flexibility:  Boos Center – M/W/F - 10:40 am – 11:30 am

Boos Bingo

Games are the first and third Tuesday of each month; Caller starts at noon.  Admission fee is $2; extra cards are 8 for $1.  Free refreshments.

Fun & Games

Self/Group-led activities such as:  Cards, Crosswords, Sudoku, Brain Teasers, Jigsaw puzzles, board games, coloring:  Boos Center Fireside Lounge – Mon & Fri – 9:00 am – 11:00 am.  Supplies provided.

Monthly Luncheons

Enjoy great food, fun and friendship:  Gene Davis & Sons Banquet and Convention Center – Second Tuesday of each month – 11:00 am-2:00 pm; Buffet starts at 12:00 pm. 

Tickets are $11 in advance.
